Admission procedures for the English-speaking International Section of ASEICA

Joining a international English section (primary, middle, high school) is done via a official process Supervised by the Ministry of National Education and coordinated with ASEICA. tests and results fall under the jurisdiction of the Academy of Nice; ASEICA employs English-speaking teachers and supports families.

The primary school admission procedure (CP → CM2)

Schools concerned (Valbonne–Mougins area)

  • Sartoux School (Valbonne),
  • Three Hills School (Mougins) – English-speaking international sections.

THE admission tests are common to both schools and organized by the Academic Inspectorate; a proof of address is required during registration. The distribution of admitted students between Sartoux and Trois Collines is based on their place of residence.

The Steps 

  1. Information : annual publication of the procedures by the Nice academy.
  2. Test registration (CP priority; upper entrances depending on available spaces).
  3. Tests : interview/oral language test (and elements in French for non-French-speaking students) to assess the aptitude to follow the section.
  4. Results published by the Academic Inspectorate; ; administrative registrations to the municipality, to the school and to ASEICA.

Documents to prepare (primary school) : proof of address, child's identity document, school/kindergarten record book (if applicable), academic registration form.

The college admissions process (6th → 3rd grade)

Framework & review

In middle school, the SI classes welcome French and foreign students in the same class; in 3rd gradee, students can obtain the DNB – International Option (specific language/literature and history-geography tests in the section language).

The Lycée (2nd → Final year) & BFI Admissions Process

Framework & diploma

In high school, international sections are reserved for the general lane ; in the final year, they lead to French International Baccalaureate (BFI) with specific teaching (language & literature; non-linguistic subject in the language of the section).

English-language program at ASEICA (Valbonne International High School)

The students follow English – language & literature And History and Geography in English, provided by English-speaking ASEICA teachers, in accordance with the program published by the association.
