Discover ASEICA's CSR approach

At the’ASEICA, Academic success is not limited to academic results.
As an educational association committed to the’bilingual education, We are convinced that our role is also to prepare for open-minded, responsible citizens aware of the challenges of the world in which they evolve.

Our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is structured around several complementary axes:

  • environmental protection,
  • a pedagogy geared towards citizenship,
  • inclusion and well-being,
  • community engagement
  • and responsible associative governance.

On a daily basis, these commitments come to life through concrete projects carried out with students, teaching staff and families.

1. A CSR approach in service of our educational mission

ASEICA supports students within a demanding bilingual program, in partnership with public schools. This international and intercultural dimension naturally invites us to integrate the major challenges of our time into our practices:

climate change, solidarity, equal opportunities, respect for differences.

Our CSR approach pursues three major objectives:

  • Giving meaning to learning by linking them to major societal issues.
  • Enabling students to act, on their own scale, through concrete projects.
  • Involving families and partners to a collective, positive and progressive dynamic.

2. Axis 1 – Protecting the environment and encouraging responsible mobility

2.1. Raising awareness of climate and environmental issues

From a very young age, students are made aware of environmental themes through :

  • projects and educational sequences integrated into courses (science, geography, languages, literature, arts); ;
  • debates, presentations, research and discussions in English and French; ;
  • highlights around themed days (Earth Day, Sustainable Development Week, etc.).

These activities allow for the development of both knowledge, L'’critical thinking and the ability to offer concrete solutions.

2.2. Concrete actions in everyday life

To ensure that environmental commitment doesn't remain theoretical, we encourage
simple and repeated actions within partner institutions:

  • paper reduction (digital media when possible, reasoned printing); ;
  • waste reduction and promotion of reusable water bottles rather than disposable bottles; ; ecocup
  • selective sorting in shared spaces when the infrastructure allows it; ;
  • awareness of energy sobriety (turning off lights, closing doors and windows, etc.).

These modest but regular habits help to establish a
culture of respect for resources.

2.3. Carpooling: promoting more sustainable mobility

Commuting between home and school represents a significant portion of the daily environmental footprint of school life. This is why ASEICA wishes to encourage... carpooling between families based on several principles:

  • Limit the number of vehicles individual at school entrances and exits, as well as for special events (meetings, shows, open days, exams, etc.); ;
  • Creating connections between families who share similar journeys, facilitating contact (groups by establishment, neighborhoods, lists of interests, etc.); ;

Depending on the context of the institutions and the needs of families, this approach can take several forms:

  • discussion groups dedicated to carpooling, maps or tools to visualize residential areas, regular information messages to remind people of the good practices for responsible mobility.
    The goal is to gradually support a change in habits, without constraints, but with a a caring and safe environment for families.

3. Axis 2 – A pedagogy focused on citizenship and sustainable development

CSR at ASEICA is not a project "alongside" teaching:
it is integrated into the heart of our bilingual pedagogy.

In practical terms, this translates to:

  • of the interdisciplinary projects where students address social issues (environment, solidarity, equality, human rights) in several subjects, in French and English; ;
  • activities of research and debate which develop the ability to gather information, compare viewpoints and argue respectfully; ;
  • of the student initiative projects, guided by teaching teams, allowing students to move from reflection to action (awareness campaigns, solidarity actions, ecological challenges, etc.).

By developing linguistic, cultural and civic skills, We guide students towards a more nuanced understanding of the world and their role within it.

4. Axis 3 – Inclusion, diversity and well-being

4.1. A caring and respectful environment

There diversity of backgrounds, cultures and languages is a treasure at the heart of ASEICA.

We ensure that:

  • promote a climate of mutual respect between students, teachers and families; ;
  • fight against all forms of discrimination or harassment ;
  • promote dialogue and the’listen, especially in case of difficulty.

The teaching and administrative teams collaborate closely with partner institutions to ensure a close monitoring of students, both academically and personally.

4.2. Support for students and families

In conjunction with public institutions, we participate in the implementation of systems:

  • d’student support in particular situations (difficulties, specific needs, cycle transitions, etc.); ;
  • d’regular exchanges with families (meetings, interviews, individual meetings)
    in order to co-create a personalized follow-up when necessary.

Our ambition is to offer an environment in which each student finds their place,
progresses at his own pace and feels recognized in his uniqueness.

5. Axis 4 – Engaging with our community

ASEICA is deeply rooted in its territory and within the network of institutions with which it collaborates. This community dimension is reflected in:

  • projects carried out with the partner schools, middle schools and high schools : local actions around the environment, cultural projects, themed weeks, external interventions…
  • of the solidarity and charitable actions initiated or carried out by students (food drives, toy drives, book drives, events to benefit associations, sponsorships, etc.); ;
  • links with the alumni, when possible, in order to show younger children inspiring and committed journeys.

By bringing together students, families, teaching staff and local partners, we are helping to create a a supportive, open and responsible educational community.

6. Axis 5 – Responsible and transparent association governance

As a’non-profit association under the 1901 law, ASEICA naturally fits into a responsible governance approach :
  • A board of directors representing families defines the main guidelines and ensures the proper use of resources; ;
  • the financial resources are reinvested in service of the educational mission : quality of teaching, recruitment and training of teachers, educational projects, student support; ;
  • A regular dialogue with families is maintained through information, meetings and time for discussion.
This transparency and shared governance are at the heart of our vision of consistent CSR: our commitments to students and families are also reflected in the way we let's manage the association.

7. Our projects in action

Each year, new projects enrich our CSR approach. For example, some of the actions carried out or planned include:
  • Environmental projects : awareness workshops, waste sorting initiatives, creation of posters by students, participation in clean-up or planting days with partner establishments.
  • Initiatives related to carpooling : information messages to families, connecting parents to organize shared journeys, encouraging more sustainable mobility solutions during major events.
  • Solidarity actions : collections organised by classes, events to benefit local or international associations, correspondence or mutual aid projects.
  • Citizen projects : debates, presentations and group work on the major issues of our time, enabling students to better understand and act.

8. A constantly evolving approach

As a’non-profit association under the 1901 law, ASEICA naturally fits into a responsible governance approach :
  • A board of directors representing families defines the main guidelines and ensures the proper use of resources; ;
  • the financial resources are reinvested in service of the educational mission : quality of teaching, recruitment and training of teachers, educational projects, student support; ;
  • A regular dialogue with families is maintained through information, meetings and time for discussion.
This transparency and shared governance are at the heart of our vision of consistent CSR: our commitments to students and families are also reflected in the way we let's manage the association.
