A moment of sharing and inspiration between generations

There ASEICA Annual Alumni Evening was held on December 19, 2019 to the’AGORA.
Despite the weather warnings, 35 alumni — currently studying or having completed their studies at United Kingdom, United States, Netherlands, Italy and France — made the trip to come exchange with the high school students.

This event is a a fantastic opportunity for high school students to ask their questions about life after the CIV, about study abroad programs and about the realities of university life.
We hope that more and more students will take advantage of this opportunity in future editions.

A A huge thank you to all the alumni who took part in this meeting, as well as to our volunteer teachers and parents, whose involvement greatly contributed to the success of the evening.
We encourage all high school students to save their email address contact the guidance service to be kept informed of Upcoming Alumni Events.

Advice from our former students

This year, we asked our alumni to share some advice and reflections for the attention of high school students currently in the midst of a period of white tray.
Here is a selection of their messages, both kind and inspiring:

«"Study seriously, but maintain a life outside of your studies."»
to show that you are an interesting and well-rounded person, beyond grades.
— James

«"Always keep a goal in mind and work towards achieving it."»
Never lose sight of what you are aiming for.
— Ava

«"Study regularly, follow current events, and be curious."»
— Rizlane

«"Don't focus solely on your notes."»
Participate in extracurricular activities: they will make your profile unique.
— Margot

«"Organize your time well and cultivate passion in everything you undertake."»
— Paul

«"Every little thing you learn eventually comes in handy."»
Never think "it won't be useful to me" — knowledge always has a role to play.
— Noémie

«"Make the most of your OIB courses!"»
The knowledge you acquire there will be invaluable to you long after you graduate from high school.,
both in your studies and in understanding the world.
The literary works studied are essential — I still talk about them today!
All this cultural background will serve you well in your discussions with the people who matter.
— Salome

«"Broaden your horizons: apply to different schools, even if you're not sure you'll go."»
The more options you have, the happier you'll be.
And if you don't go abroad right after your final year of high school, that's okay!
You will have other opportunities to travel later.
— Dinah
